End User Licence Agreement

Effective: 2026-05-02 · Operator: IGEARS TECHNOLOGY LIMITED, Hong Kong SAR, China · Governing law: Hong Kong.

This End User Licence Agreement ("EULA") is between you and IGEARS TECHNOLOGY LIMITED and governs your installation and use of the Lingocast mobile and desktop applications (the "Apps"). It is in addition to our Terms of Service and the rules of the platform you downloaded the App from.

1. Licence grant

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Apps on devices you own or control, solely for the purposes described in the Service.

2. Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the Apps, except where applicable law expressly permits.
  • Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or attribution notices.
  • Sublicense, lease, sell, or distribute the Apps.
  • Use the Apps to build a competing product or train competing models.
  • Bypass account, billing, or rate-limiting controls.

3. Apple App Store specifics

If you obtained the iOS App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge:

  • This EULA is between you and IGEARS TECHNOLOGY LIMITED only — Apple is not a party.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
  • Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this EULA and may enforce it against you.
  • If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty you may notify Apple, who will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

4. Google Play specifics

If you obtained the Android App from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply in addition to this EULA. In the event of conflict between this EULA and Google Play's terms with respect to the App's relationship with Google, Google Play's terms prevail.

5. Updates

The Apps may auto-update through the platform's update mechanism. Updates may add, modify, or remove features.

6. Termination

This EULA terminates automatically if you breach it. On termination you must uninstall the Apps. Sections 2, 7, and 8 survive.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The Apps are provided "as is". We disclaim all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. Our liability is limited as described in Section 10 of the Terms of Service.

8. Governing law

This EULA is governed by the laws of Hong Kong.
